A beautiful handmade Navajo sterling silver ring by Virgil Chee, featuring a softly colored Palomino turquoise cabochon set in substantial traditional silverwork. The stone has a gorgeous pale mint-to-cream coloration with a small area of natural matrix that gives it wonderful individuality.
The oval stone is framed with twisted rope detailing and layered, oxidized sterling silverwork, creating wonderful depth around the setting. A split-shank style band supports the larger face while keeping the ring comfortable and beautifully balanced.
This piece retains its original tag identifying Virgil Chee, Navajo, handmade sterling, making it a lovely signed piece of Southwestern artisan jewelry.
